People and places

A triptych I painted at the Glasgow School of Art this past spring.  In painting these, I thought about the environments in which I knew these four people, the stories they'd told me, and how they all came together in my life in Glasgow.  All the while experimenting with brush stroke and color, recognizing when to scrape down an image and reapply paint or when to stop.  Not being afraid to completely start over.  Finally, I was interested in how they came together and how the varying environments merged.
